Tuesday Pops!
Come for a social run from The Quorndon Fox at 6:30pm. We will be doing the Quorn to Mountsorrel out and back. This a four mile route but as itโ€™s an out and back it can easily be made longer or shorter depending on your preference, speak to a run leader if you have any questions.
Please park on the street or the car park on Station Road (LE12 8BP).
All abilities catered for with your run leaders Sarah Johnson, Dawn Tobin and Justin O'Brien

Few things... anyone needing places for Stilton/Kibworth this month (or are no longer able to run!) please let me know ASAP so I can arrange transfers. Stilton deadline is today so move quickly.

Lastly, itโ€™s time for the Pops Award/Presentation night. A great night out to acknowledge all the pops and the hard work everyone puts in. It will be on Friday 27 April at the Loughborough Rugby Club. This year we thought weโ€™d have a bit of fun and have IT AS FANCY DRESS! (No theme so let your imagination run wild! Monday night coached session
HIIT running
Half 6 at the co-op in Loughborough on knighthorpe road LE11 4JX

Firstly well done to the XC crew for running grace dieu this Morning! You guys are heroes

Brief description of HIIT:-
The idea of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can deliver the same physiological benefits (such as improved endurance, and reduced risk of heart attack, stroke and diabetes).

The route lap is 0.6 mile long
Suitable for all abilities of runners

Coached Monday evening session

First of all a huge well done to all who ran the Turkey Trot and the Leicestershire half marathon today, it was a bit of a cold & blustery day for a race day. Brilliant effort from everyone.

Meet at 18.30 promptly at Jubilee Park on Buckingham Drive LE11 4TE (look out for the bus stop). Please park in Morrisons Car Park and walk along the brook and over the foot bridge into the Julilee park.

Tonight's session will be coached by Nigel Smith.
The plan is to do an interval/effort and recovery session to improve your overall pace.

The map attached will display the Red effort zones and the yellow sections are for the recovery parts. This is a 1.7 mile loop.
I will fully explain where the effort sections start and finish on the evening.

If your still getting over todays efforts then you can still use the loop for a steady recovery run.

Earlier in the week a few of us were discussing how we struggle to get out for a run as we have no one to look after the kids. Does anyone else have this problem? If so please comment below, I'm thinking that maybe we could sort a group where we could take it in turns to look after each other's children whilst the adults go out and run.
