Favourite race: Coventry Half Marathon: great atmosphere and wonderful community involvement.
First memory running with the pops? Charnwood Waters ; I felt sick when I saw them all standing there. I turned up in jogging bottoms and a jumper because I didn’t want anyone to see how fat I was.
Best moment/achievement with the pops? West End 8 – average pace was sub-8 which I didn’t think I was capable of. Was still kicking myself I didn’t push harder though 😀
Do have any superstitions before a race? I didn’t think so, but my wife noticed I always wear my orange and black underpants on race days.
What do you think of during running? Pace
And what are your targets for the future? My next goal is a sub 1:50 half marathon.
