We are a running club with a mission to get people active and fitter, offering a chance to be part of a very friendly and encouraging team. We cater for all levels of runners, with varied sessions throughout the week. Poplar Running Club was set up in Loughborough by Lee Dawson, Darryl Hughes and Kevin Brooks with the aim to get people running with a smile on their face. Now the club has grown to more than 100 members of all ages and abilities, and has running groups in Loughborough, Mountsorrel and Quorn. A letter from our club Captain

In the summer of 2014, Shaun 'Bomber' Crowson and Simon Hardy covered 96 miles in a bid to raise money and awareness for the Falcon Centre. It worked! I, myself, had never heard of the work they did and how much they relied on community support. 2015 and 2016 saw the introduction of Beacon 24. Another brainwave from Bomber to raise money and awareness for the homeless shelter. On both occasions, we met many people associated with the charity and a bond was formed between us Pops and the Falcon support team.
